In this class we will look at how to interpret the Bible, including understanding the literary context, historical-cultural context, and theological context of various parts of Scripture.

The World

1: Introducing the Three Enemies
In this session we explore the nature of the three enemies of our soul, and discuss the need for clear-minded strategies to overcome them.

2: Overcoming the World’s Lies about Us
In this session we discuss how the World system uses appearance, performance, and the opinions of others to measure our value, and how to replace those narratives with God’s view of us.

The Flesh

3: The Acts of the Flesh Are Obvious
In this session we explore the nature of what the Bible calls the Flesh, and discuss what happens when our will, desires, and drives become disordered.

4: Overcoming the Flesh Through the Cross
In this session we explore what it means to “take up our cross,” and how to walk in the Spirit as a means of defeating the Flesh.

The Devil

5: Exposing the Darkness
In this session we look at the nature of the devil, and explore some of his biggest tactics against us.

6: Pushing Back the Enemy
In this session we discuss how to submit ourselves to God as a means of resisting the devil, and look at the authority we have in Jesus to pray and push back spiritual darkness.
